Guests joined the Science Museum of Long Island for the Rock with the Science Museum Spring Fair on May 1st, 2021 for a day of good old fashioned family fun in a safe, outdoor environment on the 36 acre Leeds Pond Preserve. This event kicked off our first ever Live at Five Outdoor Concert Series on the preserve, as well as, was one of the first attempts at a larger outdoor gathering while covid restrictions (such as outdoor mask wearing) were still in place.
The event included A Petting Zoo and Pony Rides, Vintage Carnival Games, Science Experiments, Potato Sac Races, The Grille Shack Food Truck, Mel’s Ice Cream Truck and Live Music from one of the most popular local bands, Port Side Hustle. The event was the largest the Museum had thrown to date, with over 400 people in attendance and raising $5,000 for the Museum.
