I led the marketing, event planning, coordination, and execution of the Friday Night Promenades, the Garden City Chamber of Commerce’s signature summer street festival series and one of the community’s most popular annual traditions. Held every other Friday from late spring through mid-September, the Promenades transformed Seventh Street in the heart of Garden City Village into a vibrant pedestrian destination celebrating local business, dining, entertainment, and community connection.

Under my leadership, Seventh Street was closed to traffic and reimagined as an open-air gathering space featuring themed live music, outdoor dining, restaurant specials, sponsor activations, local business and community tents, family entertainment, giveaways, balloon art, face painting, and children’s activities. Additional street seating created a lively town-square atmosphere that encouraged guests to stay, socialize, dine, and shop throughout the evening.

Each event was designed to appeal to residents of all ages while increasing visibility and foot traffic for local merchants. The Promenades became a valuable economic driver for downtown businesses and a highly anticipated seasonal event that strengthened community pride and engagement.
